Over £500 was raised for local charity Dream-a-Way during a fabulous evening hosted by Woodbury Hotel & Golf Club. The evening was opened by Jeff Merrett of Dream-A-Way and by brave teenager, Catherine Boult who gave a heart-warming talk about how the charity had helped her and her family over the years.

As part of an annual programme of charitable giving, Devonshire Freemasons have again distributed over £20,000 to 25 local charities and worthy causes. All you need to do is weigh in as soon as you can then complete the annual challenge by losing 10% of your start weight and raising more than £100 to support the charity's work.

As 2012 draws to a close, Exeter-Based Charity Dream-A-Way entertained more than 70 special guests and their carers at Bicton Park Botanical Gardens, where owner Valerie Lister and her team dished up another fantastic Christmas lunch and all were delighted with their gifts from the Real Santa.

Nearly 400 people of all ages, dressed as Santa, enjoyed a brisk jog or walk around the Exeter Quay in beautiful winter sunshine on Sunday 2nd December.
The fourth Iron Bridge Runner (IBR) Santa Run took place in ideal conditions and everyone enjoyed themselves as they all raised some well received seasonal funding for Dream-A-Way.
