Exeter-based charity Dream-A-way, which provides holidays and days out for people with disabilities across Devon and Cornwall, is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year. Jeff Merrett MBE, the charity’s chairman said “ It’s always a big thrill for all of us at Dream-A-way when we hear about the effect the holidays we provide have on the lives of our clients and their carers and families. Dream-A-Way & Southernhay Clinic's Sizzling Summer Make-over

Over £500 was raised for local charity Dream-a-Way during a fabulous evening hosted by Woodbury Hotel & Golf Club. The evening was opened by Jeff Merrett of Dream-A-Way and by brave teenager, Catherine Boult who gave a heart-warming talk about how the charity had helped her and her family over the years.

Dream-A-Way, the Exeter-based charity that provides holidays and outings for people with disabilities across Devon and Cornwall, is celebrating a big success as the Official Show Charity at the Devon County show at Westpoint last week. This is also the charity’s 20th birthday year so the Trustees were delighted to be chosen as charity of the year and then to receive a royal visit in addition was a huge Bonus.

Dream-A-Way helped by local Freemasons

As part of an annual programme of charitable giving, Devonshire Freemasons have again distributed over £20,000 to 25 local charities and worthy causes. The donations were presented by the Provincial Grand Master of Devonshire, Right Worshipful Brother Ian Kingsbury, at the Exmouth Masonic Hall, Exmouth on Friday evening 10 May.

Lose Xmas pounds and raise pounds for charity

If you've indulged a little too much over Christmas, why not raise pounds by losing pounds?

The 2013 Dream-A-Weigh weightloss challenge was today launched by Exeter charity Dream-A-Way.

All you need to do is weigh in as soon as you can then complete the annual challenge by losing 10% of your start weight and raising more than £100 to support the charity's work.

The first 20 challengers to sign up will receive complimentary membership for the new gym at The Exeter Golf and Country Club, Topsham Road.

Dream-A-Way Christmas Party at Bicton

As 2012 draws to a close, Exeter-Based Charity Dream-A-Way entertained more than 70 special guests and their carers at Bicton Park Botanical Gardens, where owner Valerie Lister and her team dished up another fantastic Christmas lunch and all were delighted with their gifts from the Real Santa.

There was a mammoth draw, fun bingo and even a mini-auction which all added to the fun time had by all!

Santas on the run for Dream-A-Way charity

Nearly 400 people of all ages, dressed as Santa, enjoyed a brisk jog or walk around the Exeter Quay in beautiful winter sunshine on Sunday 2nd December.

The fourth Iron Bridge Runner (IBR) Santa Run took place in ideal conditions and everyone enjoyed themselves as they all raised some well received seasonal funding for Dream-A-Way.

Have a festive makeover for a good cause

Following on from the success of Southernhay Clinic's May Make-Over earlier this year, this amazing Festive Make-Over, which is being organised by Southernhay Clinic in aid of Dream-A-Way, is aimed at helping you look and feel the very best you can for the festive season and into the New Year and beyond!
