Two carol concerts by Exeter Philharmonic Choir have raised almost three thousand pounds for local charity Dream-A-Way, which helps make holiday dreams come true for Devon children and adults with disabilities or life-affecting health conditions.

The generosity of concertgoers at Exeter Cathedral on 13 and 14 December raised a total of £2,913, a sum that representatives of Exeter-based Dream-A-Way were delighted to receive.

Catherine celebrates transplant anniversary with 1000K cycle challenge 

A student from Exeter, who received a liver transplant as a baby, is embarking on a 1000K cycle challenge in a bid to raise funds for a charity which is very close to her heart.

Twenty-two year old Catherine Boult was born with the rare liver disease, biliary atresia, and was given a life-saving transplant when she was just seven months old.

Exeter resident Katie Dicker enjoyed a day to remember on Saturday 15 September when she got to meet her hero, Formula 1 legend Nigel Mansell CBE. At the Community Awards Presentation which took place last September at Mount Edgecumbe Masonic Hall Plymouth, Ian Kingsbury the Provincial Grand Master of Devonshire Freemasons presented Dream-A-Way with a cheque for £25,000.

Devon based charity Dream-A-Way has smashed all records with its 2017 Golf Classic event and raised an incredible £33,000 in one day!

The event took place at the stunning Woodbury Park Hotel and Golf Club attracting a full field of 32 team entries from as far afield as Truro and Shropshire.

Fundraisers plan 50-mile step into Christmas

A group of fundraisers will step into Christmas this week by walking 50 miles all through the night to support two local charities.

They plan to set out from Exeter at 1pm on Friday and will walk to Exmouth and back, on to Dawlish and finish in Exminster on the morning of Christmas Eve.

A Christmas party for children organised by Exeter charity Dream-A-Way was given a festive boost thanks to the local Tesco Extra store.
