As in previous years, Exeter City Council will be marking Armed Forces Day on Saturday 2 July with a parade through the High Street.
This year the 6 Rifles will be exercising their Freedom of the City. The parade will step off at 12.30pm from St James Park and march through the city, with the salute being taken at the Guildhall. Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault on Lea Road, Tiverton.
The incident took place around 9.30pm on Friday 24th June opposite the entrance to the Tesco Express car park.
A confrontation took place between the occupants of a Red Volkswagon and a dark coloured Ford Mondeo on Lea Road. A 29-year-old man received minor injuries and a 42-year old woman was arrested and question in connection to this matter.
She has since been bailed until the 1st August pending further enquires.
