Exmouth will have a new temporary landmark on its horizon by the end of this week – a 28 metre high observation wheel with 20, six-seater gondolas which will offer a unique viewpoint over Exmouth, the Exe Estuary and out to sea.
The wheel is located on East Devon District Council land at Beach Gardens opposite the Pavilion Theatre and is operated by Somerset-based MI-Wheel. It opens for rides on Saturday 29 July. It will be on site for 28 days and the wheel operators are seeking planning permission for a further two week extension to mid-September.
