Exeter School pupil Tom Lammonby has been named Man of Series after topping the England Under 19 batting averages in their five match one day series against India. Motorcyclist dies following A380 crash

One man has died following a collision on the A38 on the outskirts of Exeter.

Police were called at around 6.35pm on Wednesday 30 August following the reports of a single vehicle collision on the A380 Telegraph Hill, Kennford.

The vehicle involved was a blue Honda motorcycle ridden by a 36-year-old man from the Exmouth area.

The rider was treated at the scene before being taken by Ambulance to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital where shortly after arrival he was pronounced deceased.

Exeter City sign Kane Wilson on loan

Exeter City have signed West Bromwich Albion’s right-back Kane Wilson on loan until January, subject to Premier League approval. Wilson, who has represented England at under-16 and under-17 level, is currently away on duty for his country and will link up with the Exeter City squad next week. Local Sugar Smart teams across the South West are encouraging people to attempt the Sugar Smart September challenge and are providing support and tips throughout the month.

Sugar Smart September is a challenge to reduce ‘free sugar’ in our diets for the month of September.

Teignbridge residents are invited to two home composting roadshows in Newton Abbot where they could be in with the chance of winning a luxury hamper!

The roadshows, run by Recycle Devon and supported by Teignbridge District Council, will give people the chance to buy a compost bin and get advice and tips about home composting. Devon and Cornwall Police are working closely with the organisers of this years’ Lockdown music festival which will be held on the Powderham Castle estate near Exeter. This close working will ensure a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.

Over the last few weeks eight local fire stations in and around Exeter have received a donation of specially designed animal oxygen kits from a local Insurance office.
