The Families for Children Trust is having another information session where you can find out more about how you can help vulnerable children find a loving home.

The Trust has helped find children new homes since 2003 and needs more adopters to come forward quickly as they have a growing number of older children, siblings and children with disabilities who need new homes.

Leading regional law firm Wollen Michelmore LLP will be taking another significant step in its 150 year history by opening an office in Exeter.

The thriving law firm has announced a merger with Exeter firm Morgan & Pope, based at Cathedral Yard, continuing the steady growth through office expansion seen over the last 12 years.

Killerton celebrates completion of roof conservation thanks to public support

It has been a year since Killerton, a much-loved National Trust gem near Exeter, saw scaffolding go up for major TLC to the roof and building. After astounding public support, the successful conservation project has finished.

Over ten months, the roof scape has been transformed. The worst affected roofs have been replaced, removing an unsightly temporary roof and old ventilation units. The official launch has taken place of a pioneering alliance among leading partners to develop Exeter’s next generation of data scientists, as Exeter recently named among the top 10 cities for future tech hubs.

EXETER City Football Club said “no to homophobia” at its home game with Mansfield on Saturday, February 17.

The match was designated as the Club’s annual “Football v Homophobia” fixture and a number of initiatives to mark the day were organised by Exeter City Supporters’ Trust, its One Game One Community (OGOC) Group and Proud Grecians, the club's newly formed lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans (LGBT+) and allies supporters group.

Devon celebrates successful year for new businesses in 2017

Figures just published show that 5,615 new companies were formed in Devon during 2017 – demonstrating that the county provides a supportive environment for new business ventures.

This brings the total number of registered companies in Devon to 48,848, up from 47,095 at the end of 2016, which equates to 3.7% growth.

The statistics come from the Inform Direct Review of UK Company Formations using data from Companies House and the Office for National Statistics.

Plymouth formed the most new businesses (1,214), followed by Exeter (741) and Torbay (721).

Women and girls we have a date for your diaries! Saturday 7th July sees the return of the annual Hospiscare Twilight Walk . This year’s theme is “Pink Fizz”, so dig out all things pink to wear and there will be a glass of 'fizz' waiting for you on your return. The walk is once again kindly sponsored by Western Power Distribution.
