Ladies across the South Devon will join Barbara the sheep and her farmyard friends on Saturday 7 July for the baa-rilliant ladies-only Rowcroft Sleep Walk charity event. The team at Exeter-based design agency, Drive Creative Studio, has supported Rowcroft Hospice for eight years with the branding, design, advertising and promotional materials for the Sleep Walk. Cofton Holidays launch newly refurbished high-end holiday apartments for 2018

South Devon’s multi-award winning holiday park, Cofton Holidays, has unveiled five newly re-furbished holiday apartments for 2018.

Thomas Cook Airlines add flights and destinations from Bristol airport

Thomas Cook Airlines will base an additional Airbus A320 aircraft at Bristol Airport from May 1, 2018 and increase its number of seats on sale from the airport to over 400,000 for the summer 18 season.

Taking the airline’s weekly flights from 28 to 39 for summer 18, the additional flights on sale include new destinations Egypt, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Costa Brava and Greece. They join favourite holiday spots like the Canaries and Balearics for both flight-only and package holidays from the airport.

Protected dormice to be officially monitored at East Devon Nature Reserves

East Devon District Council Countryside Team Leader (Sites), James Chubb, has been granted a licence by Natural England to survey nationally protected dormice. The licence will allow the Countryside team to monitor this rare and declining mammal at the council’s nature reserves.

The National Dormouse Monitoring Project, which is co-ordinated by the People’s Trust for Endangered Species, sets a framework for site surveys. After several years of working under the guidance of local mammologist Adrian Bayley, James is now able to undertake dormouse work under licence.

A brand new funding scheme is set to aid the retention of adult male teams within grassroots football clubs.

The £1 million fund has been created to boost football’s traditional format following a recent decrease in the number of adult male FA-affiliated grassroots league teams.

Retain the Game, which is funded by The FA and delivered by the Football Foundation, is offering existing grassroots football clubs grants of £750 to continue offering valued playing opportunities in organised football.

Since 2014, RGB Building Supplies has donated £23,000 worth of building materials to clubs, charities, schools and groups through its Well Built Community Fund and it’s delighted to announce the fund is returning for another 12-months.

For the next giveaway, RGB will be donating £1,000 worth of building materials to a group that’s taking part in a carnival or festival. So, whether materials are needed to help build a float, decorate a stall, or build a Carnival Queen’s throne, RGB would like to hear about it.
