Inspired by the work of artist Marc Chagall and loving the fluid feel of his abstract paintings, Devon wedding photographer Rosie Anderson wanted to create something similar in a series of photographs.
She said: “As a wedding photographer I have an interest in capturing the unspoken connection between two people. It was instantly apparent to me that something about being underwater changed things and made that connection really intense, which was weird because there is absolutely nothing romantic about an underwater shoot!

Grahame Pullen, a 62-year-old sport fishing journalist caught Porbeagle sharka estimated measure in at 8ft and 450lb near an unspecified resort on the North Devon coast with friend and colleague Wayne Comben. Speed restrictions on the A38 will remain in place this weekend as the Highways Agency prepare to close most of England’s roadworks for the bank holiday weekend. The Highways Agency says that works on the A38, near Haldon Hill, cannot be removed due to safety concerns caused by the removal of the road’s safety barrier to fit a contraflow. However, the agency believe that the delays caused by the road work will be “slight”.

Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a home in Aylesbeare, Exeter, on Saturday (10 May). Offenders forced a door to get inside the home sometime between 9.30am and 7pm. After making an untidy search of the house, they stole a black laptop, a still camera and a £1,500 projector, various items of jewellery and a brass compass in a box.
