Westpoint offers free for all charity days

This year marks Westpoint Exeter’s 25th birthday! And to kick off the celebrations Westpoint has announced it is offering four charities the chance to stage their own event at the venue for free.

Charities large and small are invited to apply for this unique opportunity with one of the south-west’s largest exhibition and entertainment venues. With free access to the Function Room, Wadsworth Pavilion log cabin and Showground, the charities can let their imaginations run wild.

The whole site lends itself to a variety of both indoor and outdoor events. Westpoint’s log cabin could be the perfect location for a family fun day and barbeque, the function room for a party or meeting, or the showground could be the perfect location for a host of outdoor activities.

Whatever the event, the Westpoint team will be on hand to support charities in making it a reality. Charity days will take place on the following dates:

  • Saturday 9 August
  • Saturday 6 September
  • Saturday 1 November
  • Saturday 13 December

Chief Executive of Westpoint Exeter, Richard Maunder said: “We are excited to be able to offer such a great opportunity to organisations that may not have the funds to hire a large venue or host events. We’ve been lucky enough to work with some brilliant charities over the years and I’m thrilled that we can continue to offer support further as we celebrate our milestone birthday. I’m looking forward to seeing all the wild and wonderful event applications we receive.”

Charities wishing to take part in Westpoint Exeter’s 25th Anniversary Charity Days should submit their application via email to Emily Egan at emilyegan@westpointexeter.co.uk, covering a maximum of two A4 pages with as much detail of the proposed day as possible, i.e. the concept, practical implications, and how the opportunity would benefit the organisation in particular. Please see the news section of the Westpoint Exeter website for terms and conditions for these events.

The deadline for applications is the Monday 2 June.
