Enjoy a day in Devon and join Newton Abbot Racecourse for an afternoon of racing on Wednesday 13th August.

Racing for the day starts at 2:10pm and gates open at 12:10pm.

Tickets can be bought online at www.newtonabbotracing.com until 5pm on Tuesday 12th August. Tickets will be available to buy at the gate on arrival.

Tickets are priced at £12 for the Course Enclosure and £18 for the Paddock Enclosure. Children aged 16 and under and students with a valid photographic student ID / NUS can enjoy free entry.

Join Newton Abbot Racecourse on Sunday 20th July and celebrate the upcoming summer holidays at their Family Day.

The Family Enclosure will make its return for the summer at every summer holiday fixture this season. There’s plenty to keep the children entertained with inflatables and giant garden games, with a great view of the course for parents.

Racing for the day starts at 2.20pm, with gates opening at 12.20pm.

British families feel the squeeze of summer holidays

New research released by Buyagift.com shows Britain's parents spend a staggering £9.5 billion on entertaining their kids during the six-week break.

A study by the leading online gifting and experience website found that most parents spend £1,232 on keeping their children entertained during the summer holiday.

Research by Buyagift.com of 1,000 parents found that by the time kids go back to school the average family will have spent; £472 on childcare, £388 on day trips in the UK and £372 on food and drink.

Two North Devon greats have joined forces to create a weekend of motoring madness this August.

The newly renovated Highbullen Hotel, Nr Umberleigh, is a key sponsor of the first ever Castle Hill Car Festival, at Castle Hill House in Filleigh and, to help visitors from outside the region make the most of the weekend, Highbullen has put together a special two-night package on 2-3 August, which could cost as little as £58.50 per night.
