The charity zoo has its very own branded blend – Zoorabica. It’s the first time the charity has offered its own named coffee. The new beverage is supplied by Coffeeworks, based in Exeter, an independent company with over 20 years’ experience.

Paignton Zoo Group Catering Manager Jennifer Proctor, who helped choose the final blend, said: “We have gone for this new blend because of taste, price, the support that Coffeeworks offer and the training they provide.” She visited the family-owned roasting business in Bristol to select the coffee.

There’s something for all the family at Newton Abbot Racecourse this Sunday, 22 July as they prepare for their ever-popular Family Raceday.

Not only are there seven races on the card for horseracing fans, but they will also be joined by Plymouth Albion star, Eoghan Grace, and his team of coaches in the Family Enclosure who will be running a series of fun rugby games for children.

But that’s not all, children will also be able to enjoy free face painting, balloon modelling and a spot of magic in the Family Enclosure between 2pm and 4:30pm.

 Mental health and wellbeing takes centre stage at Newton Abbot Racecourse on Wednesday 16 May for their first racing fixture in partnership with Plymouth & District Mind and Racing Welfare.

The afternoon racing fixture, which falls during Mental Health Awareness week, aims to improve understanding of mental health issues and the support that is available to both the general public through Plymouth & District Mind, and the racing world through Racing Welfare.

Leading up to the start of this year’s summer jumps season on Easter Saturday, the team at Newton Abbot Racecourse have been hard at work implementing a number of important new improvements and changes.

Over the winter break the racecourse has invested tens of thousands of pounds in improvements both on and off the track, to better the total experience at Newton Abbot Racecourse for visitors, jockeys, owners and of courses horses alike.
