Summer of Dance Program Encourages Kids to Stay Active

School holidays may be looming, but that doesn’t mean the learning stops. To help kids stay active throughout the summer, DanSci Dance Studio in Exeter will host a series of interactive dance programmes for kids aged from 18 months to 12 years

Exeter College Plans to Open Exceptional £2.4 million Gym and ‘New York-style’ Dance Studio

Exeter College has unveiled ambitious plans to open an exceptional £2.4 million Gym and ‘New York’-style Dance Studio.

Alongside this development, new space for music technology, art and information technology will be created, transforming the space that had previously housed the previous gym and dance floor.

The new Gym and Dance Studio is an extension to the college’s £5.9 million Sports Hall in Victoria Yard in the centre of the city, opened in 2015.

Exeter group selected for national youth festival

A group of talented young dancers from Exeter have been selected to take part in national youth dance festival U.Dance 2018.

Exeter Youth Dance Company, from Exeter, will perform their successful dance piece at the nation’s largest national youth dance festival, taking place this July at the beautiful Jerwood DanceHouse in Ipswich.

They join an impressive line-up of twelve dance groups, selected from over 290 entrants nationwide through a series of 20 regional heats.
