Leading edge cyber security experts have just launched the first Cyber Security apprenticeship programme, which includes GCHQ certified courses, at Plymouth Science Park.

The course is the first of its kind in the country and its purpose-built teaching rooms were unveiled by BluescreenIT (BIT) this week.

It follows 14 years of continued growth for the company - which is fast becoming the ‘go to’ set of experts for delivering world class IT and cyber security training.

New data protection regulations have post-Brexit trade implications

In anticipation of the introduction of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations), an EU-wide stricter version of the current Data Protection Act which come into force in May 2018, PKF Francis Clark have got ahead of the game by achieving a Gold Standard IASME accreditation for cyber security the highest of the four levels of accreditation available.

Exeter firm urges businesses to educate staff on cyber security

Exeter-based IT support provider and cyber security specialist, Bluegrass Group, is urging all local businesses to educate their staff on cyber security following the recent ransomware attack on the NHS.

45 NHS bodies, as well as organisations across the globe, were affected by the ransomware virus, WannaCry, which arrived via emails with an invoice, job offer or other authentic looking document attached. Clicking on the attachment enabled the infection.

Exeter to become UK hub for Connected Car technology

Exeter-based Lightfoot has been awarded a £1.8 million Government funded project to help cut harmful air pollution through “Connected Car” technology that rewards better drivers.  The project will use Lightfoot’s trail-blazing in-car device to aid and reward smoother driving styles, cutting fuel bills and pollutants on the UK’s roads.

More than 60 clients and introducers attended the annual Thompson Jenner LLP Budget breakfast briefing 2017 at the Woodbury Park Hotel and Golf Club on the 9th March.

Guests were welcomed with the customary bacon butty breakfast before networking and listening to three presentations.
