On 11 March, Alexis Conran of BBC’s “The Real Hustle”, will be visiting Exeter to speak at Bluegrass Group’s free one-day “Safety in the cloud” conference.

Organised by Bluegrass Group, an Exeter based trusted provider of outsourced IT support services to SMEs across the UK, the conference is one of several events taking place during Exeter’s Cyber Security Awareness Week. Already in its fourth year, it’s the UK’s only week of free events dedicated to raising awareness of cyber security and it provides a unique platform for education, sharing of best practice and networking opportunities within the region.

As the keynote speaker, Alexis will be sharing the top tactics that hackers use and providing the inside information on how security solutions can fail. Joining Alexis will be six other expert speakers who will educate the audience on the real risks of cloud computing and how to mitigate them.

As businesses increasingly rely on the cloud, they become more exposed to the cyber security threat,” says Bluegrass’ Managing Director David Thomas. “This event aims to help local businesses learn how to protect themselves. Cracking cyber crime requires a collective approach, so the more people we can educate, the better for everyone.

The conference is taking place at Exeter Racecourse and is open to all business owners and managers. Pre-booking is essential, by clicking here or visiting https://bluegrass-group.com/csaw-2020.
