Exeter-based Bluegrass, a trusted provider of outsourced IT support services, has been awarded ‘EMEA Pioneer of The Year’ by Datto, the world’s leading provider of data backup, recovery and business continuity solutions.

The Golden Award recognises a partner that is blazing a new path and was presented to Bluegrass at DattoCon19, Datto’s seventh annual partner conference which welcomed over 2,900 attendees from across the world.

The Bluegrass acclaim was in recognition of its pioneering approach to cyber security, namely its annual Cyber Security Awareness Week (CSAW). Now in its third year, CSAW is a week-long programme of free events to help small businesses protect themselves from the ever-growing cyber security threat.

David Thomas, Managing Director of Bluegrass, commented: “We’ve always tried to lead the way in IT support and disrupt the traditional model of delivery, so we’re thrilled to receive this award from Datto.

CSAW is just one of our pioneering initiatives, which is made possible by having partners like Datto who believe there is no limit to what small and medium businesses can achieve with the right technology alongside us.”

Rob Rae, Vice President of Business Development at Datto said: “Our partners are critical to the small and medium-sized business community, and we’re proud to honour the top performing partners with the Golden Datto awards at the event each year.

We’re so excited for Bluegrass for earning the EMEA Pioneer of The Year award and demonstrating their commitment to growing their business and helping their clients succeed.”
