The UK’s only week-long cyber security awareness week (CSAW) is returning to Exeter next year, and local business people are invited to join the launch event.

Now in its fourth year, CSAW, sponsored by Datto, is the brainchild of Bluegrass Group, an Exeter-based provider of industry-leading, outsourced IT support services. Over five days, Bluegrass will bring together a host of expert speakers to educate South West businesses and help them conquer the growing cyber threat.

David Thomas, Bluegrass’ Managing Director, commented: “While a decline in the number of high-profile widespread cyber attacks may have lulled many into a false sense of security; cyber crime is still a real threat to SMEs.”

“It’s our mission to alert, inform, educate and help businesses tackle the cyber threat. CSAW is our key initiative in this quest, and we’re excited to be launching our 4th event.”

Bluegrass will be launching the 2020 programme at a free-to-attend networking event in Exeter. Attendees will receive a free copy of the line-up and get the heads up on what’s in store for the week. There’ll be drinks and nibbles, a short cyber presentation and the opportunity to network with other business owners.

All businesses are welcome to attend:

Date: Thursday 23rd January 2020

Time: 6pm – 8pm

Venue: Stephens Scown Solicitors LLP, Curzon House, Southernhay West, Exeter EX1 1RS

Anyone wishing to join the launch evening can book their free place here.

CSAW 2020 will run from 9th – 13th March. The events will include a business networking evening, a one-day conference, a lunchtime roundtable session, and four cyber breakfasts. All sessions will be free to attend and available to book after the launch event.
