Community performances and shopping galore as the countdown to Christmas continues

Visit Princesshay each late night Thursday until the 20 December where you’ll find the shops open until 9pm, community performances and a fun festive atmosphere!

This Thursday 13 December Exeter Footlights Theatre will be entertaining shoppers in Princesshay Square from 5-7pm with a taster of their upcoming new show Copacabana. Local hero Kirstie Tancock will also be in the centre from 5pm – 8pm to promote the ‘Live Life Then Give Life’ campaign which aims to raise awareness of and increase education about organ donation.

Crib service and Christingle at Exeter Cathedral

Taking place in aid of The Children’s Society on Sunday 23rd December at 4.30pm, this year’s combined Crib Service and Christingle at the Exeter Cathedral is a first.

The Cathedral Choristers will be singing and children are invited to dress up - angels, kings, shepherds, animals, Marys and Josephs will be very welcome!

This child and family friendly service includes a short play performed by Cypex, the Cathedral’s young people’s club, some well-known carols and the carol Long ago in Palestine with words and music written especially for the service by Chryssa and John...

Improve life after brain injury with a Christmas pudding!

Local brain injury charity, Headway Devon, have teamed up with the Ultimate Plum Pudding Company to offer Christmas puddings that will help raise money for local people with disabilities.

As well as a Gold Great Taste Award winning traditional plum pudding, the charity is also offering zingy lemon sponge puddings and triple chocolate puddings as an interesting alternative for the festive season.

This year’s Christmas show at Exeter Northcott looks set to be a winner with children and grown-ups alike.

Tall Stories, creators of The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom , bring their latest production, The Snail and the Whale , to the theatre for a festive run from 12th-30th December.
