Rather than seeing other children go without toys in the festive season, research from Argos and Barnardo’s shows that 95 per cent of children would happily give up some of their Christmas presents, if it meant a disadvantaged child could enjoy a happier Christmas.

Award-winning Exeter venue Sandy Park has released an extra date to their Christmas Party schedule. Bookings are now being taken for all of the recently redeveloped venue’s Christmas party packages on Saturday 6th December, including last year’s sell-out option the ‘Live Band’ night. Festive Frolics at Angela Court

Christmas is a magical time of year for all of us, and the staff at Angela court always try to make Christmas as special as possible for the residents that stay with them.

Throughout the festive season the residents have taken part in all number of activities, making Christmas tree decorations, singing carols, putting up their Christmas cards and of course partaking in much mince pie eating. More UK retailers post disappointing profits

More large retailers have confirmed that their Christmas profits were below expectations.

Supermarket chain Morrisons have joined retailers Debenhams in issuing a profit warning to the stock market while both Tescos and Marks & Spencer have both said they had disappointing Christmas trading.

Morrisons, which may be opening a new Exeter store near the Police Headquarters in Middlemoor, revealed today (9 January) that its full-year profits were well below market expectations.
