For Christmas 2015, Exeter Northcott Theatre and Creative Cow present a magical new adaptation of Charles Dickens’ much-loved Christmas classic.

Ebenezer Scrooge is a notoriously bitter old man who is determined not to let Christmas interfere with his miserly routine. But one Christmas Eve, Scrooge receives some unexpected supernatural visitors who are determined to show him the true spirit of Christmas and the error of his ways.

Cotley Christmas Celebration

Come and meet the shepherds for a light hearted retelling of the nativity in our barn with the Cullompton Community Choir.

The animals in the barn will be cosy enough but you are advised to dress warmly, and bring a torch.

Mince pies and hot punch will be served afterwards

This is a free event but tickets are limited so please book now to avoid disappointment.

Donations taken on the night will be given to the charity 'Send a Cow’.

A truly spectacular and beautiful evening celebrating the spirit of Christmas is set to take place on 11 December when The Donkey Sanctuary Sidmouth presents their annual Christmas service, Carols by Candlelight.

The evening starts at 3.30pm when staff begin to light thousands of candles around the Sanctuary creating a magical atmosphere. Each candle represents a dedication from supporters to the memory of a loved one.

Visitors will be able to soak up the warm, welcoming ambiance around The Sanctuary before the main carol service which starts at 5pm in the Main Barn....

Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park mark the countdown to Christmas with a special visit from Santa, Rudolph and his helpers this December for festive fun.

Guests are invited to join Santa in his grotto for Santa’s Interactive Story Time and hear magical tales of his festive adventures. Younger guests will also receive a free gift from Santa to take home at the end of their visit.

Over 35,000 Exeter homes at risk of fire this Christmas

As 90 percent of Brits admit to decorating their home and garden in the next few weeks, less than a quarter (23 percent) would consider the impact this might have on the electrics in their home.

The new study, commissioned by the UK’s leading regulatory body for electricians NICEIC and ELECSA surveyed 2,000 UK tenants and homeowners, and has revealed some disturbing facts about the safety of UK homes at Christmas. It found that 42 percent of Brits paid more attention to aesthetics than safety, with 1 in 5 admitting to feeling they needed to compete with their friends and neighbours...

Early Christmas present for Exeter shoppers

Shoppers are being given an early Christmas present by the City Council – a great parking offer!

Customers will be able to double the length of their stay in the Council’s Pay & Display car parks when arriving after 10.00am on Wednesdays in December.

Ladies do lunch - again

It’s back! Exeter’s highly successful Ladies Do Lunch re-launches next month with a glorious Christmas celebration.
