Exeter’s newest community centre, The Beacon, is holding its first public event this Saturday 5 December – a Christmas fair.

Come along and see all the months of hard work that the Beacon Vollies (you’d call them volunteers) have put in. They have sorted, cleaned, painted and even put up a new ceiling at The Beacon, which was formerly the Knight Club in Beacon Lane.

They have created a warm, light welcoming space to hold community events, private functions, meetings and already a number of local organsiatons have started using...

Disadvantaged children across the world will receive gifts this Christmas - thanks to the generosity and goodwill of the Exeter community and flexible workplace provider Regus. Over the last few weeks, individuals and groups have donated over 300 present-filled shoeboxes at the local Regus centres at Southernhay Gardens and Exeter Business Park which have supported the ‘Operation Christmas Child’ appeal for the third year running. County Show festive gift tickets launched

The Devon County Show has Christmas wrapped up this year as it launches festive gift tickets for the first time today (Tuesday, December 1).

The tickets for next year’s Show in May are contained in a choice of four beautifully designed cards which celebrate the season and promise a great day out to look forward to when all the decorations have been packed away.

Come and join in the fun at this years St Thomas Christmas Lights Switch On we are making it bigger and better than ever before.

The fun starts at 4pm with the lights being switched on at 7pm

Exeter’s only green Father Christmas will be visiting Cricklepit Mill on Sunday 6th December for a day of family fun.

Exeter Sands to host Lights of Love service

With the festive season nearly upon us, Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, is organising a series of twelve ‘Lights of Love’ evenings across the UK for parents, family and friends of those whose baby has died.

In Exeter, the non-denominational evening of traditional carols, inspirational readings and beautiful musical performances will be hosted at St Thomas’ Methodist Church, 110-111 Cowick Street, Exeter, Devon, EX4 1JE on Friday 4th December at 7.30pm.
