In support of Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) Nick Reed from Exeter has set himself the arduous challenge of cycling from his home in Exeter all the way to CHSW’s Little Bridge House hospice in Fremington, Barnstaple and back again!
Nick will commence his lengthy journey from his home in Exeter on Saturday 26 August and is calling on supporters to either join him or cheer him along the way. Nick will start his challenge at 8.00am, making his way to Little Bridge House before returning to his home that evening.

Staff and customers of WH Smith Exeter store are set to trek across Dartmoor, completing 30miles over 2 days on 10th/11th June 2017 in aid of mental health charity Mind.
Richard Boyter, 33, who works for WHSmith in Exeter, is walking with staff and customers to raise £1000 by trekking across Dartmoor.
Starting at Fingle Bridge with the Finish at Bovey Castle. Richard has been inspired by the company's 225 fundraising campaign but this has become a more personal challenge after experiencing issues with his own mental health in the past year.
Hospiscare@Home is a new service which brings the expertise of the hospice into the home, responding to the needs of the local communities in and around Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth, Lympstone and Woodbury.
This new service is an extension of the Clinical Nurse Specialist service already provided in the area and offers hands-on nursing care when required, any time, day or night, supporting adult patients with life-limiting illness who wish to remain at home at the end of their lives.

FoodCycle Exeter, a project which serves community meals made from surplus food has reached a significant milestone: 1,000 meals in just over a year. The project, which has grown from strength to strength, has served over 1,000 three-course meals every Tuesday night since March 2016 in Wonford Community Centre. In March this year, Hospiscare was delighted to welcome the Men’s Walk 2017 `sell-out` crowd to Double Locks. The 650 men and boys walked eight miles in fine weather along the canal path to the Turf Hotel and back to enjoy a pint, a Chunk pasty and watch England beat Scotland to retain the Calcutta Cup – and they have raised an amazing £40,000 for Hospiscare!
