Witness The Fitness! It’s not often you hear a gentleman in his eighties tell you that he has recently taken up extreme distance events. But Len Styles from Honiton is not your average eighty year old. Having always kept himself in good physical nick, (in his younger years Len used to enjoy taking part in ½ marathons and triathlons), rather than easing off Len is increasing the mileage and has found it to be an essential outlet in helping him deal with grief.

Len explains, “My lovely partner, Christine Taylor, died in December 2015. Christine had three operations and had treatment...

Conditions which improved as the weekend progressed served well to spur them on. Blundell’s fielded three teams; two 35 mile groups and a 45 mile group.

The chance to recharge the batteries at a crucial stage of the season will certainly be welcomed, but the rest will only be short-lived for Rob Baxter’s squad as they gear up for...

Woodburn up for the fight in France

Olly Woodburn insists he and his Exeter Chiefs team-mates are “up for the fight” ahead of Saturday’s crucial European Champions Cup encounter away to ASM Clermont Auvergne (2pm).

Bottom of the pile in Pool 5 at the start of last weekend, Exeter’s 31-19 home win over Ulster Rugby has lifted Rob Baxter’s side to second in the standings behind their French hosts - and in with a potential chance of claiming one of the remaining spots in the last eight of the competition.

In a somewhat similar scenario to last season, where the Chiefs edged through on the final day with victory...
