In order to support parents, baby feeding brand Fraupow have joined forces with The Guildhall Shopping Centre to create an oasis of calm in the heart of Exeter where parents and babies will always be warmly welcomed for some time out.

One of the primary concerns of new parents is feeding their babies, and how they will manage to make that work whilst out and about enjoying life. Fraupow, who make a range of breastfeeding accessories including an award winning hands free pump, understand that it can be daunting to find a way of meeting your baby's needs whilst also maintaining...

Parents urged not to use facemask on their baby

Parents and guardians of babies under 12 months are advised not to cover their mouths with facemasks as it could cause breathing difficulties. While there have been no reports of ‘baby masks’ being sold in Devon, Torbay or Somerset, parents and guardians are urged not to buy them as they could harm their baby’s health.

The advice comes from Devon, Somerset and Torbay Trading Standards Service.

It follows reports that face masks for babies, also known as 'baby masks' or 'cute masks', are being sold in some parts of the country and online.

With spring in the air as well as signs of new life from the natural world, the RSPCA is seeing an influx in fox cubs coming into its care up and down the country.

Animal welfare officer (AWO) Nicola Thomas was called earlier this week to collect a lone fox cub that was found in a garden in Leyton, east London. When she arrived to collect the cub, she could also hear his siblings calling from the garden next door.

Nicola said: “The neighbours kindly let me take a look and sure enough there were two more cubs, who were also very hungry and crying. I popped all three cubs...

The Donkey Sanctuary staff hand-rear foal after he’s rejected by his mother

Staff at the international animal welfare charity, The Donkey Sanctuary, have taken on the task of hand-rearing a new born foal after it was rejected by its mother, who herself had been rescued by the charity.

Leyla Anstee, farm manager, The Donkey Sanctuary’s Brookfield Farm, says: “The mare and foal were not together or showing any signs of the bonding process which would normally take place. We carefully tried to encourage her to accept him, but this young and inexperienced mum simply did not want to let her foal suckle - it was clear that she had rejected him.”

The mare...
