This Easter Sunday (4 April), animal lovers will once again be able to catch up with the four-legged residents of The Donkey Sanctuary as its award-winning Sanctuary From Your Sofa event returns for another virtual day out with the charity’s donkeys.

Viewers will be able to tune in from 10am to watch a series of live broadcasts from The Donkey Sanctuary headquarters in Sidmouth, as well as a host of pre-recorded videos from its regional sanctuaries around the UK.

Television star, Caroline Quentin, received her COVID-19 vaccination at Moorhayes Commuunity Centre in Tiverton, and urges others to do the same.

She said, "pleae GO and get your vaccination!"

Everyone over the age of 50, and those in at risk groups are entitled to recieve the vaccine, either through their GP or a mass vaccination centre.

Exeter City Football Club players Jake Taylor, Matt Jay and Nigel Atangana took a break from training to support a massive community effort to provide food for Exeter’s most vulnerable children and their families.

Exmouth RNLI called to windsurfer in difficulty

Exmouth RNLI volunteer crew members launched their inshore lifeboat yesterday evening following a number of 999 calls reporting a windsurfer in difficulty on the River Exe.

At 6.14pm yesterday Saturday 27 March 2021 Exmouth RNLI inshore lifeboat D-805 George Bearman II was launched having been tasked by H.M. Coastguard to a report of a male windsurfer apparently in difficulty and unable to make progress. He was last reported on the River Exe between the River Exe Café and Lower Halsdon Farm, Exmouth.
