Exeter care home resident is reunited with daughter once again

Residents at RMBI Care Co. Home Cadogan Court, in Exeter, were delighted to be able to meet their loved ones in person for the first time since the start of the pandemic.

The Home has opened its doors to family visits, following new guidance from the government, which allows each care home resident to receive visits from one family member or loved one.

Progress update on CDS full fibre network rollout

Preparations are well underway for the roll-out of the full fibre network through the recently awarded contracts from the Connecting Devon and Somerset (CDS) programme.

Around 56,000 homes and businesses will be provided with access to Gigabit capable broadband by internet providers Airband, Truespeed and Wessex Internet.

A new study launched by the UK’s largest online learning provider, The Skills Network, has found that significant career changes for those in the South West are most likely to happen at age 30.1, but 2 in 5 won’t go after their dream job, due to the daunting prospect of having to retrain.

Morgan Sindall Construction has won a contract to deliver a new extension to the University of Exeter in Devon, helping to improve educational facilities for computer science (higher education) in the South West.
