Families across the South West are being urged to download a free Team GB digital fitness and activity pack to give children a winning edge ahead of an exciting summer of sport.

As an official partner of the British Olympic Association, Persimmon Homes has created a Stay Active pack to help keep children physically and mentally active ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games being held in 2021.

FORCE Nello ride goes virtual again

FORCE Cancer Charity has taken the difficult decision to make this year’s Nello cycle ride a virtual event again for 2021 due to increasing concerns over the latest rise in COVID cases.

The charity’s single biggest annual fundraiser was due to take place on Sunday June 27.

More than 1,100 cyclists had signed up to ride from Topsham Rugby Club and cover 100 or 55 miles around the Devon countryside.

But the Government’s decision to delay moving to Step 4 of the roadmap out of lockdown meant the charity had to reconsider its options.

The impact of marine plastic pollution on human health tops a list of health-related concerns over marine threats in a large scale survey which could help shape policy over how best to protect our oceans.
