A hot air balloon exploded on Tuesday morning and plunged into a sugar cane field west of Luxor, Egypt killing 19 tourists on board, three of which are reported to be from the UK with a further in hospital.
Luxor governor, Ezzat Saad reported the casualties included British, French, Belgian, Hungarian and Japanese nationals and nine tourists from Hong Kong.
Three survivors of the crash were hospitalised.

Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue were called to a road traffic collision on the A380, Telegraph Hill near to Ideford this morning.
One fire appliance was despatched to the incident from Exeter Danes Castle and one from Exeter Middlemoor.
On arrival crews found a single vehicle that had been involved in a collision with a horse. Fire crews report that nobody was trapped within the vehicle. Several horses were on the carriageway and were being looked after by police, whilst the casualties were being cared for by paramedics.
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall are visiting Exeter Cathedral later today for a special thanksgiving service to celebrate the success of its £8 million fundraising campaign. The Prince is Patron of the campaign and visited the Cathedral in 2009 to mark the half way stage. The Duchess of Cornwall joined thousands of other visitors last July to view the ‘Majesty’ Flower Festival as part of the Cathedral’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

A two-day summit into higher education has been met with student protests in Quebec, Canada. The summit is currently underway at the Arsenal art gallery, in Griffintown.
In accordance with a 4 February ultimatum to the education minister Pierre Duchesne, the student federation Association pour une solidarité syndical étudiante (ASSÉ) - which represents approximately 70,000 Quebec students - will not attend the summit, and is hosting a protest against student fee increases. ASSÉ decided to boycott the summit after their ultimatums to Duchesne were not met.
Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service is warning of the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning after attending an incident in Wellington, Somerset, on Saturday night.
Extremely high levels of carbon monoxide were found within a house on Longforth Road and one person was feeling sick awaiting the arrival of an ambulance. Four people were taken to hospital with carbon monoxide symptoms. When crews arrived, a carbon monoxide detector was sounding and the family had left the house.
