Fancy running out on to the pitch at St James Park? Now's your chance.

This is my 5th blog about my journey to compete as a figure competitor with the British National Body-Building Federation (BNBF).
Since my last blog I have been away on holiday for a week. I was able to use this as a rest/recovery week. I only trained twice for about 30 minutes, really to maintain what I had and not get out of condition. I relaxed on the nutrition as well, I didn’t go completely nuts even though I was tempted by the amount of cake and creamy deserts that were on display! I was good for the first two days, eating only meat and veg. After those initial few days,...
The veteran American singer George Jones, one of the greatest stars of country music has died at the age of 81.
Jones, a disciple of country's early 'honky tonk' stars such as Hank Williams, Ernest Tubb and Roy Acuff, enjoyed huge success in the US with a string of hits as well as a certain notoriety for his alcoholism, drug problems and broken marriages.
His first success came in the 1950s - the rockabilly influenced White Lightning an early crossover hit in 1959. He had hits in each of the next three decades and famously married his sometime signing partner Tammy Wynette...
Exeter City’s 2012/13 campaign came to a disappointing end at the Proact Stadium, as hosts Chesterfield ran out 4-0 winners.
The Spireites hadn’t posed any more of a threat than the Grecians when the first goal came – a thunderbolt before Marc Richards headed in a second and Jack Lester converted a penalty that he won himself before the interval.
Lester completed a brace just before the 60-minute mark after beating the offside trap, completing the scoring for Chesterfield.

Following a buzzing VIP launch party and the first of three After Dark sessions - complete with a cookery demonstration from Michelin-starred chef Michael Caines, guest appearance from Devon-based actress Caroline Quentin and an amazing set from Devon singer songwriter Adam Isaac - the sun shone down on the first full day of the 10th Anniversary Exeter Festival of South West Food and Drink. The ale and cider were flowing in abundance, the food was bountiful and the people were welcoming. All in all there was a great buzz going on and for once the weather did not spoil the festivities,...
New research has revealed that nearly two-thirds of female motorists (64%) don’t feel comfortable about visiting a garage for repairs, servicing or car-checks – with a quarter (24%) saying that they avoid going to a garage on their own.
The research was carried out for Kwik Fit, the UK’s largest tyre and car repair company, and also revealed that a third (33%) of women drivers would like the knowledge to be able to deal with a motoring emergency, and the same proportion (32%) would like to be able to carry out basic car maintenance checks themselves.
Exeter Chiefs flanker James Scaysbrook says the lure of playing in next season's Heineken Cup is all the motivation he and his team-mates need to finish the current campaign on a high note. With just one game remaining in the scheduled fixture list - that against Gloucester at a sold out Sandy Park next Saturday (2.30pm) - the Devon club know a victory over the Cherry & Whites will ensure they will be competing alongside Europe's elite again next term. The Chiefs head into the final round of fixtures in sixth place, two points clear of rivals Bath, who themselves still harbour Heineken...
"If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses”. There is some debate as to whether Henry Ford, to whom this line is often attributed, ever actually said this. Irrespective, it does raise some interesting questions, mainly about asking the right questions.
Any business, in establishing a client’s needs and requirements must ask the right questions. In my profession, for example, it is vital to establish need and objectives before recommending a suitable investment strategy. However, this is rarely as simple as asking a client what they want to achieve....
