An innovative and award-winning programme for pre-school children is being launched in Exeter and Mid Devon.

The Creation Station’s hands-on art and craft exploration sessions give even very young children the chance to safely experiment with a wide range of materials, tools and ideas.

Erin Blake is leading the weekly, term-time programme for youngsters and their parents/carers at various locations around Exeter and Mid Devon.

At the age of 25 years Erin Blake has taken on The Creation Station business. Erin is an enthusiatic new mum to 10 month old daughter Emily, and her story shows that a little bit of hard work really does pay off.

Erin started work in an entry level position at an insurance brokerage and after several years was supervising the personal lines insurance department. She has now taken the bold move to take on a company of her own and prove that you can be a great mother and run your own company.

To celebrate the launch, everyone buying a trial session will get a second session for free. Erin said: “I am really excited about bringing the Creation Station to Tiverton.

"Our aim is to inspire children’s imaginations through our specially designed art and craft activities and products. As well as being terrific fun for both child and adult the sessions encourage positive parenting skills through practical creative play.

"Creating their own piece of art each week also helps develop a child’s thinking and creative skills.

"Another plus point for parents is that even when we get messy using paints and clay they don’t have the worry and stress of cleaning up like they would at home.”
