Nuffield Health Exeter removes time limits on aftercare for patients

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital is set to launch a unique service to local patients who require common surgical procedures.

For the first time, patients choosing to have their care outside of the NHS will have no time limits placed on their aftercare following procedures like hip replacements or hernia repair.

South West Communications Group wins contract to provide multimedia customer service solution to Farrow & Ball

South West Communications Group has recently been awarded the contract to provide a new unified communications solution to Dorset-based Farrow & Ball to enhance its world-wide delivery of excellent customer service.

The Exeter-based telecommunications experts will install a ShoreTel Enterprise Unified Communications solution to some 200 users at Farrow & Ball’s headquarters in Wimborne, as well as at its outlets in Paris, Frankfurt and Toronto.

This year has been quite a momentous one for Exeter Community Initiatives (ECI).

We have successfully taken on two extra Children's Centres (Sure Start) in Wonford and Countess Wear to accompany our existing Flying Start Children's Centre.

We have had a change of Chief Executive. I stepped into Alistair Macintosh's large shoes in July 2012 and have been getting to grips with the job over the last year and making changes so ECI is facing the challenges of the future head on.

Two injured following serious road traffic collision near Honiton

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision near Honiton, which left two people injured. Officers were called to the A303 at Marsh at 6.25pm yesterday (5 June) after a Ford Focus C-Max car was in collision with a parked and unattended Honda CRV. The female passenger of the Focus, a 73-year-old woman from Exmouth, sustained serious multiple injuries and was flown by air ambulance to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol. Copplestone Parent Teacher Association has announced the first Copplestone Music Proms in the Park is to feature Exeter Children's Orchestra.

Simon Archer, Chairman of the CPTA, said “This is a major coup for us. To get the ECO to perform in Copplestone is a great honour and very exciting. We wanted to give the children and parents of Copplestone Primary School a night to remember.”

Exeter primary leads the way for faith schools

An Exeter primary is leading the way for Roman Catholic schools in the region by converting to academy status.

St Nicholas Catholic Primary became an academy this month, leading the way for other Catholic schools in Devon, Cornwall and Dorset.
