So far over £1,500 has been raised from a charity golf day at Exeter Golf and Country Club on Thursday 13 June. This was the fifth annual golf day, organised by Exeter Enterprise Rotary which involved 25 teams of 4 from all over the UK.
The day was to raise funds and awareness of the Royal Marines Charitable Trust and their work in supporting injured and wounded Royal Marines.

Honiton Gymnastics Club men’s pair Jamie Jeffery (16) and Matthew Beviss (10) have returned from the Acrobatic Gymnastics National Development Plan finals in Stoke on Trent with silver medals.
The pair were narrowly pipped to the gold medal position by a partnership from Bromley Valley in Kent. Matthew and Jamie’s silver medal follows their gold medal performance at the regional preliminary competition in Taunton earlier this year.

As recently reported, one of Exeter's oldest parish churches is threatened with closure as St Thomas Church in Cowick Street faces repair bills of around £3m and rising. It has been a busy few weeks, which started with a fantastic 19-18 victory over the Bats in the Spitfires' first game at their new home, Chadwick Field at St Luke's Sports College.
