Permanent changes to be made to Queen Street and Iron Bridge/St David’s Hill in Exeter

Work to deliver permanent changes to the road layout in Queen Street in Exeter will get underway next week (w/c Monday 17 April).

The scheme, which is expected to be completed by June, will ensure that temporary changes introduced during the pandemic are made permanent, providing more space and improving safety for the 10,000 people that walk and cycle on Queen Street each day.

Paul Colsell, a local artist, has launched a crowdfunding campaign to create a mural in the heart of Exeter. Known as the Exeter Kindness Mural it will feature the work of celebrated artist and author, Charley Mackesy. A key objective of the project is to celebrate kindness in the city.
