On 24th November 1999 my stepmother gave my brother her General Power of Attorney giving him absolute power over all her finances. She did not receive separate legal advice. It was witnessed by one very elderly neighbour. On 3rd March 2000, only three months later, my stepmother gifted her luxury penthouse apartment to my brother "in consideration and recognition of financial debts incurred by my late husband". The only outstanding debt my father had when he died was to glaziers for £3422.16, which I paid.
None of this came to my attention until after my stepmother's death in 2007...
On Sunday 6th October our Charity Skydive took place at Dunkerswell Airfield (Honiton) in aid of Exeter Axhayes Cats Protection Adoption Centre.

This year the centre has launched their Santa Paws Appeal. The idea is a simple one. They are asking that people fill a box, similar in size to a Felix cat food box with cat toys, food, treats, possibly a Christmas card. Then wrap it up and donate it to...

Rescuers spent two hours talking to her but were unable to get to her. Her body could not be recovered because of severe weather and emergency teams are still waiting to recover it.
Her parents, Patricia, 57, and Charles, 58, from Amersham in Buckinghamshire, said they were “shocked and deeply upset” by the news, confirming to the Evening...

This weekend, however, both those competitions will be cast to...
