Otter Brewery continues Pints Mean Trees Campaign success at Lympstone Manor

Lympstone Manor is the latest Southwest hospitality venue to benefit from Otter Brewery’s Pints mean Tress initiative, run together with Saving Devon’s Treescapes.

On Friday 7th, April 2023, Michael Caines MBE was joined by Otter Brewery’s Managing Director, Patrick McCaig, Estate Manager Adam Street, and Saving Devon’s Treescapes Lead, Rosie Cotgreave to plant several trees in the grounds of Lympstone Manor. The planting of these trees takes Otter Brewery one step closer to hitting the 250,000 target that they set in 2022.

Police in Exeter hail Operation Loki a success and thank the public for their support

Police officers in Exeter have received positive feedback from the public after running Operation Loki in the city.

The operation started in late March and ran for four weeks with high visibility patrols and a range of tactics to tackle issues of local concern such as anti-social behaviour and drug taking.

The high profile operation has been deemed a success by residents and businesses and officers have been out and about engaging with more than 2,000 members of the public during the daytime and evening.

SSG support local community defibrillators

Local training and consultancy company, SSG, have begun a new initiative to support local community groups with the provision of defibrillation units.

As part of the scheme, £1 from every delegate booked onto a first aid course with SSG will be put towards funding a defibrillation unit for a local community group.

With over 1400 delegates booked to attend first aid courses since the initiative began, SSG’s first defibrillator was donated to Teign Valley ‘Men in Sheds’ project at the start of the year.

Running throughout the whole of May, The BIG FIX has one aim – to fix and breathe new life into as many broken things as possible.

Digital marketing business Optix Solutions has been named the top ‘boutique’ agency in the country in Campaign’s prestigious Best Place to Work list.

Spotlight to Shine Bright on Crafts & Gardens at Devon County Show 2023

The spotlight will shine brightly and musically on the Crafts & Gardens Marquee this year at Devon County Show. An installation, featuring a grand piano bedecked with flowers and in a woodland setting, is to be masterminded by Plantsmen, Horticulturalist, Florist and Show Garden designer, Kenny Raybould.
