Volvo retailer renamed following acquisition

Five Volvo motor retailers in the South West are being renamed, following the acquisition of Helston Garages Group Limited by Vertu Motors plc in December 2022.

The showrooms in Barnstaple, Exeter, Taunton, Yeovil and Truro have been brought under the Vertu Motors retail brand.

Vertu Motors plc acquired 28 franchised sales outlets from Helston Garages Group in December 2022 and has commenced a rebrand; the existing management teams and colleagues will continue in their roles, giving customers in the area continuity of service.

Local bus operator Stagecoach South west has announced that the popular route 57 bus service has been doubled in frequency with buses now operating up to every 15 minutes, Monday to Saturday.
