Racing starts at 2:15pm and gates will open at 12:15pm.

Rugby World Cup tickets reach £9,000

Thousands of tickets to next year’s Rugby World Cup have appeared on ticket re-selling sites ahead of yesterday’s community ticket sale launch.

More than 4,000 tickets were discovered on a variety of re-selling sites by investigative reporters from BBC Watchdog.

This is despite the first community tickets, exclusively for members of local rugby clubs, only going on sale at 1pm yesterday.

A further batch of tickets for general sale will go on sale on 12 September 2014 and will include three fixtures at Exeter’s Sandy Park.

Jess Bower, from Brixham has always kept horses but didn’t ever think she would have the chance to break into farming.

The Grand Western Canal’s 200th anniversary was celebrated in style at the weekend, despite heavy downpours on Saturday.

The Canal hosted the Inland Waterways Association’s National Trailboat Festival to mark the occasion – and there was an impressive response with almost 40 trailboats entering the festival.

A group of Mums will be taking part in the Chudleigh Carnival six mile road race on 18 July to raise much needed funds for Cancer Lifeline South West.

Devon and Somerset Trading Standards Service has joined a national initiative to support victims of mass marketing scams.

The National Scams Team is a project funded by the National Trading Standards Board and hosted by East Sussex Trading Standards Service. Supporters of SNUG (Supporters of the Neo Natal Users and Graduates) at the RD&E Hospital, recently held a fundraising jumble sale at Sandford Parish Hall. The event was organised by Kaye Vinnicombe, who received tremendous support from SNUG when her youngest daughter was born.
