Leading student accommodation provider Vita Student has announced that all 156 studio apartments available at its Portland House residence on Longbrook Street have already been reserved ahead of the 2014/2015 academic year.
There are around 19,000 students in Exeter, the vast majority of which haven’t got access to university-provided accommodation meaning there is a serious supply-and-demand issue in the city. Student schemes such as Vita Student at Portland House help to alleviate the strain on residential housing as they allow private-rented properties to be released back into...

SWH recently completed building works at Axe Valley Community College seven weeks ahead of schedule.
The works, carried out for Devon County Council, comprised of two main classrooms, a third smaller class room and a lobby entrance.
Our works also included the demolition of the existing rooms (including some asbestos removal) and construction of the building.
The construction was originally masonry, which SWH changed to closed panel timber frame solution for speed, and to reduce the amount of site traffic required to travel through the school.

Stating they serve hamburgers "as they should be", Byron had a lot to live up to when a colleague and I visted the newly-opened Exeter branch.
We visted Byron on a sunny weekday and it appeared the people of Exeter had defintely heard of the burger joint’s good reputation, with tables full both inside and out. Byron has been in Exeter for less than two weeks, and is the first to open in the South West. There are over 30 Byron restaurants throughout the UK.
The restaurant was created after it’s founder Tom Byng fell in love with the simple burgers he consumed whilst dining...
