A new discovery trail devised by Gara Rock will take children and their families on a voyage of discovery when they visit the café restaurant or stay in the self-catering apartments and cottages during the summer months ahead. And owners of the unique development have teamed up with Salcombe-based clothing company Quba & Co to offer everyone who takes part in the treasure trail the chance to enter a draw and win a prize each month.

Works signify start of Seaton Jurassic

On Friday 1 August work begins to alter the entrance to the Harbour Road car park in Seaton in preparation for the start of the building of the £4m visitor centre, Seaton Jurassic.

The car park will remain open using the existing entrance until Sunday 31 August to allow for this year’s Seaton carnival and funfair. A compound to house the site offices of the contractors will be created on the Tramway side of the car park from 15 August.

A new book, Jerusalem Unbound, plots the history and examines the underlying factors that make a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians so difficult.

Four students from South Dartmoor Community College in Ashburton have been working with Dartmoor National Park Communications Team as part of their work experience placement with the National Park.

The pupils at Exeter Junior School took part in the Virgin Money Make £5 Grow Scheme and were tasked with setting up their own mini business from an initial loan of £5.
