Big Screen in the Park returns

Exeter’s Northernhay Gardens will host Big Screen in the Park, which starts on Wednesday 13 August.

A different film for each of the four nights is played on a 10 metre wide screen in the picturesque Northernhay Gardens.

Along with the entertainment there are also several places to get a drink or something to eat. The Little Devon Pizza Co will be serving up delicious wood fired pizzas, Bar Belafronte will be offering specially selected craft beers and there will also be some homemade butter fudge popcorn on sale.

Gates open at 7.30pm and the film starts at approximately 9pm.

Tickets are £3. If you wish to bring your own chair you will have to pay an extra £1.

The films this year are:

Wednesday 13 August: The Lego Movie (PG) – join an all-star cast in the ultimate action-packed, hilarious adventure of the year.

Thursday 14 August: Rush (15) – Ron Howard delivers the heart racing, epic, true story of a legendary rivalry that rocked the world.

Friday 15 August: The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (15) – Having recently lost his closest friend to the jaws of a strange sea predator, oceanic adventurer-cum-filmmaker Steve Zissou sets out to find and kill the beast he’s dubbed the ‘jaguar shark’. Along the way, though, he has to deal with a prim Brit journalist, a man claiming to be his son, and impending financial ruin.

Saturday 16 August: Gravity (PG) – A movie made for the big screen. Experience the multi award winning, heart pounding thriller Gravity out in the open and under the stars, and be pulled into the infinite and unforgiving realm of deep space.
