Exeter has successfully renewed its status as a Fairtrade City following an assessment by the Fairtrade Foundation.
The status, which was first awarded to Exeter in 2004, is provided in recognition of the strong support for Fairtrade within the city and the achievement of five qualifying goals.
This includes a wide availability of Fairtrade products in local shops and catering outlets, high levels of support from local people, businesses, voluntary organisations, faith groups and schools, and a committed Fairtrade City Steering Group to co-ordinate the campaign.
Soupstock is a free summer celebration of local food and music which takes place at Knightshayes near Tiverton on 3, 10, 17 and 24 August,
Soupstock began last year as a way to help new audiences discover knightshayes.
