First up for Rob Baxter's side is Sunday's trip to newly-promoted London Welsh, a side the Devon club know all too well following numerous encounters with the Exiles in both the Premiership and RFU Championship.

It's a clash which, according to Baxter, should provide the ideal starting point for his Class of 2014/15 as they prepare for a new term of action in English rugby's top flight.

Exeter City Council this afternoon (Friday 5 September) confirmed that it had commenced legal action to take back possession of the land at Hamlin Lane playing fields.

Smurf said: "Why do they choose a children's play area where there are so many other places to go?"

Is environmental crisis also a spiritual one?

Authored by Martyn Goss

It is sometimes said that the environmental crisis is but a symptom of a deeper crisis, which is a spiritual one. I have a lot of sympathy with this suggestion, but what does it mean? Spirit in most traditions implies vigour and vitality - the very breath we inhale and the life-giving energy we find in our heart of hearts. It is thus both profound but also intangible. We may sense a deep spiritual aspect...
