There seems to have been a problem in Exeter City Council’s land search service. Earlier in this summer I was assured this was being addressed, but the latest figures are showing a rise rather than a fall in the back-log. A group of pupils from Isca School and St James School took part in a workshop where they designed their school team’s rugby shirt, to be produced and donated by Canterbury, the official kit supplier to England Rugby and the Official Partner to All Schools.
The Canterbury kit design workshops are part of the All Schools programme which was launched in 2012 by the Rugby Football Union (RFU) in partnership with the Rugby Football Foundation.

Work on the £1.4 million scheme to upgrade the access road to Exeter International Airport is progressing well, according to Devon County Council.

Teams from the Housing Service at East Devon District Council have launched a month-long series of consultation sessions in which they will ask tenants to comment on options aimed at minimising the impact that cuts in Devon County Council (DCC) funding next year will have on over 1,300 elderly and vulnerable tenants.
The options on the table include retaining as many services as possible and either reducing the level of service or charging where previously it was free. The aim is that these tenants will still be able to live independently at home.
Every year since 1973 the Exeter Flotilla has held a Trafalgar Service in Exeter Cathedral to commemorate Lord Nelson's great victory in 1805.
This year, on Sunday 19 October, the White Ensign will once again fly over the cathedral.

British Transport Police (BTP) officers are appealing for the public’s help to identify two men they would like to speak to in connection with the theft of a passenger’s property from a train.
