Players from Exeter Chiefs are baring all to help raise awareness of testicular cancer.
Don Armand, Moray Low and Thomas Waldrom have joined men from across the South West who have whipped off their clothes to participate in the 2016 calendar for the regional fundraising organisation, It’s in the Bag.
Proudly sporting just a pair of It’s in the Bag iconic orange pants, 12 groups including members of the Chiefs squad, employees from Devon-based Burts Chips and the Bristol Beer Factory are pictured on the playing fields and the factory floor, to raise awareness of testicular...

Research by BSI (British Standards Institution) has revealed that almost half of SMEs (small and medium enterprises) don’t feel that their business is operating efficiently.
The survey which targeted 250 SMEs throughout the UK with between 1-250 employees, also highlighted that the highest number of businesses that showed concern about operating efficiently were based in East Anglia, Scotland and Yorkshire and the Humber. Around 60% of businesses in these regions highlighted this as a challenge for their company.
Furthermore, a quarter of respondents also claimed that there...
David Starkey, the UK’s leading constitutional historian, will be visiting the Exeter Northcott Theatre in October.
Known for his forthright views, David will be talking about the 13th century agreement that, imperfect though it was, limited for the first time the power of the monarch by stating the basic rights, privileges, and liberties of leading citizens and clergy.
There are few more stimulating thinkers, and few who understand better the way the most powerful have thought throughout our history.
His assessment of the situation then, and how our constitution...
Hidden among the Tonga Rugby World Cup team's kit and boot bags is ... a four slice toaster!
When the lads disembarked at the city's Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel fresh from training, a sneaky peek inside the luggage hold revealed the electrical appliance tucked to one side.
Although we have found a recipe online for Tonga Toast that involves a using pan.
So they are either plugging in the device at Exeter University, where their training is taking place, or they took a trip to the Matford Car Boot sale at the weekend.
South West patients with long-term health conditions are getting to see health experts when they need to, in an exciting project driven by research.
Under the existing model of care, patients with conditions such as arthritis are given routine appointments that often take place when their symptoms are mild. Yet when their condition deteriorates it can be difficult to secure an urgent appointment.
Now, a new approach known as Patient Initiated Clinics is hoping to transform the delivery of care across the South West by putting patients in control. Instead of appointments...
We started decorating Exeter’s newest community centre over the weekend and boy does it look better already!
The blue walls have been painted a bright, welcoming white – we’ll get some artwork up there soon, from local people of course, to give it a bit of colour.
We’re doing this again next weekend, there’s still a lot to do, so we’ll be putting on the music, loading up our paintbrushes and enjoying a bit of playful banter as we roll up our sleeves and get stuck in. Come and join us, it’ll be fun!
“We’d had a great time all working together and the main hall now...
In a 2006 piece by the Sunday Times, it was estimated 14% of the money transfers in the UK are handled via designated foreign exchange companies. It’s virtually impossible to verify current usage figures without having access to resources like the Sunday Times has, but it is safe to assume the number is much greater than that.
To prove our point, we can have a look at the revenue of the largest (public) money exchange companies in the world, where there seems to be continuous trend of growth for the past 10 years. There are nowadays more ways to access traditional service providers...
