Their chief forecaster said: “A slow moving front will bring heavy bursts of rain, giving the potential for over 50mm of rain within a few hours. “Leaves may impede drainage, increasing the risk of some flooding, for example, to sections of road.”

The regional forecast for the next five days is as follows:

Described as “London’s hottest new fast food chain”, Chilango is today launching its second investment round on Devon-based Crowdcube in the form of an equity crowdfund that aims to raise £1 million from investors in return for a 3.26% stake in the business.

This money will kick start the next expansion phase that expects to see five-fold growth in the next five years. Details of the pitch are at www.crowdcube.com/chilango . This is different to its highly successful bond offer last summer where investors put in a minimum of £500 in return for an 8% p.a. interest payment over the...

Armand says Chiefs have to kick on

Exeter Chiefs forward Don Armand has warned he and his team-mates can ill afford to “rest on their laurels” despite getting their Aviva Premiership campaign up and running with victory over London Irish on Saturday.

Having come unstuck in their seasonal opener away to Bath seven days earlier, the Devon club marked their competitive return to Sandy Park with a comfortable 38-11 success over the Exiles.

“We have standards we set for ourselves and we didn’t step up to them against Bath,” said Armand, who was among the try-scorers in Saturday’s success.

“We put in a lot...

Grecians draw at home

TOM NICHOLS' opener was cancelled out by Liam Noble as the Grecians drew 1-1 at home to Notts County.

Alex Nicholls started out wide in place of Lee Holmes in the Grecians' only change to the starting eleven from the midweek win over Cambridge United at St James Park. Ryan Harley returned to take a place on the bench alongside Tom McCready, while Notts County made two changes of their own; Jack Barmby and Adam Campbell the players coming in.

After David Wheeler forced a succession of corners in City's favour in the early stages of the first half, Tom Nichols had Paul...
