School teams taking part in Exeter’s Young Enterprise are heading to Princesshay on Saturday 12th December from 10am – 4 pm to showcase their entrepreneurial skills and Christmas wares at the Young Enterprise Trade Show.

Young Enterprise is the UK’s leading charity that empowers young people to harness their personal and business skills.

Police are looking to reunite two bunnies with their rightful owner after finding them early this morning on the road between Starcross and Mamhead.

Two local PCSOs found the two fluffy explorers out past their bed time at around 3.30am today (8th December).

They have since been given a temporary home at the Teign View Veterinary Centre in Teignmouth.

A police spokesperson said: “These look to be very well cared for animals and we are sure that someone is now missing a beloved pet.

"We are hoping someone will recognise them and will call the Teign View...

South West jobs optimism rebounding

The first quarter of 2016 has seen a boost of confidence within the jobs market in the South West with hiring intentions of +9% according to Manpower, the world’s workforce experts. This is a jump of seven percentage points from the last quarter.

Fund available for disability support groups

As part of its Well Built Community Fund, RGB Building Supplies is calling out to groups that support those with disabilities to explain how £1,000 worth of building materials could help to complete a project.

Having pledged to giveaway £1,000 of materials every other month, RGB has recently supported a youth group, an animal welfare centre and a project to help the homeless.

Greenhouse gas emissions must be reduced aggressively and immediately because there are significant constraints to large-scale deployment of negative emissions technologies in the future, new research has shown.

City to play Liverpool in FA Cup third round

Exeter City have been drawn at home against Liverpool in the Third Round of the Emirates FA Cup.

The Grecians have made it to this stage of the competition for the first time in a decade, and now the reward is a visit from Jurgen Klopp's Reds, a tie which looks to be the pick of the round.

Edshack, the workshop time capsule recreating EDSAC

A home workshop in Reading is today playing a vital role in the reconstruction of EDSAC, the Cambridge University machine that 65 years ago led the world’s computing revolution and today is being reconstructed and assembled at The National Museum of Computing on Bletchley Park where the process can be watched by Museum visitors.

The Reading workshop, affectionately named Edshack, belongs to James Barr, who not only has the rare skills required to help in the reconstruction of EDSAC, but also has a computing pedigree that can be traced directly to the machine that first ran before...

New play equipment opens in Ottery St Mary

Ottery St Mary children and young people have new equipment to play on this Christmas which they themselves have chosen – thanks to partnership working between East Devon District and Ottery St Mary Town Councils.

The Land of Canaan play area in the town now has a spanking new climbing frame – complete with monkey bars – and a new basket swing.

The councils have worked closely to spend £18,500 on the improvements. The money came from Section 106 agreements with developers who gave funding to the community for every new home in the town.
