Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park is delighted to announce its charity partnership with the WESC Foundation.

The partnership, which seeks to raise funds and awareness of the charity throughout 2016, is part of the Park’s continued commitment to support local causes.

WESC Foundation – The Specialist Centre for Visual Impairment is a school and college for children, young people and adults with visual impairment.  The charity’s aim is to develop its learners’ independence so that they can develop academically and socially, whatever their ability and offer supported housing to a wider range of people with visual impairment and other disabilities.

The funds raised by Devon’s Crealy will go towards a new minibus appeal. The eight-seater, which includes two specially adapted seats for wheelchairs, will be used for outings and activities for the learners at WESC Foundation.

Josh Haywood, General Manager of Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park said: “We are very excited about our partnership with WESC.  To focus our efforts on raising funds for a new minibus is very meaningful to us and will be a fantastic aiming point and make every donated penny count even more.  An awareness campaign is also important to the partnership and we have been busy planning how we can make the Park more user friendly for everyone.”

Jon Duckham, Fundraising Manager at WESC Foundation said: “We are delighted that Crealy has chosen WESC as their Charity of the Year for 2016 and are very much looking forward to working with the team to help raise funds for the new minibus.  It is invaluable for the charity to have local businesses and organisations support us in helping to raise our profile and much needed funds.

"We are very excited about the great plans to help raise monies towards our minibus appeal which will make a huge difference to the quality of life of our learners who really enjoy outings and activities away from the campus.”

With over 60 rides and attractions set in 100 acres of glorious Devon countryside, Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park offers maximum fun whatever the weather. With fantastic value for the whole family and exciting times ahead, there’s no better place to be seen in 2016.
