With over 1,200 runners already signed up, this year’s Children’s Hospice South West Rainbow Run at Exeter Racecourse on June 11 is going to be the biggest ever! This fun run has become a must on the event calendar, and is especially important in the charity’s 25th Anniversary year. Jayne Jarrett, Events Fundraiser for the charity said: ‘It’s amazing to have so much support this year. With the age limit lowered so that anyone aged 5 and over can take part - plus a whole host of entertainment from steel bands to Star Wars Storm Troopers - it really is a fun day for everyone.’ Rainbow Run is...
This was capital punishment in it’s harshest form.
Rob Baxter’s side handed out arguably one of their finest displays in the Aviva Premiership to book themselves a first-ever semi-final in the end of season play-offs.
England star Jack Nowell led the way in a ten-try hammering of Harlequins, who were looking to give departing Director of Rugby, Conor O’Shea, the perfect send off before he heads for pastures new.
Instead, the Irishman could only watch on as Devon’s finest ran amok at the Twickenham Stoop. Nowell was crowned man...

EXETER CITY's 2015/16 ended in disappointment Luton Town took a comfortable 4-1 win at Kenilworth Road.
Jayden Stockley had a great chance to give City the lead early on, but just over ten minutes later, the Grecians were three goals behind. Cameron McGeehan's free-kick was followed by a Jack Marriott strike and a looping Joe Pigott effort. Stockley did pull one back in the second half, but Marriott scored again to re-establish the three-goal margin.
The Grecians named a heavily changed line-up for this season-ender, with former Hayes & Yeading United loanee James Hamon...
Gareth Steenson admitted he was ‘lost for words’ after he was crowned Exeter Chiefs’ Player of the Year at their annual awards night.

Steenson has enjoyed another stellar season in Exeter colours, not only topping the point-scoring charts in the Aviva Premiership, but also overtaking the long-standing record of Tony Yapp as the Devon club’s leading points-scorer....

A tea party held in Buckerell raised over £550 for blood bike charity, Devon Freewheelers.
It was organised by village residents Jen Palfrey and Soo Sims on behalf of the Buckerell Community Association.
Over 90 people from the East Devon village, from the oldest to the youngest residents, turned out to support the event, enjoying waitress service, cream teas and a wonderful array of homemade cakes.
“We’ve organised similar events before, and this was the best yet – we’re bowled over by the amount raised,” said Jen.
Rob Baxter is challenging his Exeter Chiefs side to "want more" as they gear up for the club's first-ever appearance in the Aviva Premiership play-offs. The Chiefs will wrap up the final round of the scheduled domestic season at Harlequins tomorrow (3:30pm) knowing a victory in the capital will guarantee them home advantage in a fortnight's time in the last four. Last weekend's impressive 24-3 victory over Wasps saw them leapfrog the Midlanders back into second spot, effectively putting them back in control of their own destiny at such a crucial stage of the campaign. Buoyed by that...
Nationwide fuel supplier Watson Fuels last week gave Cullompton Rugby Club U16s the opportunity to train with Exeter Chiefs’ stars Don Armand and Kai Horstmann. The evening formed part of Watson Fuels sponsorship of the AVIVA Premiership club. The session followed Cullompton U16s usual practice, with Armand and Horstmann interjecting throughout to offer the youngsters tips and advice on how to improve their personal and collective game. Armand and Horstmann were also...
