Devon enjoyed success at Exeter Racecourse on Sunday on Devon Air Ambulance Day as two local-trained horses took wins on a busy day of racing.

Tenter Le Tout, a three-year-old filly trained by Chester Williams at George Nympton, ran out an easy winner in the South West Rail Solutions EBF National Hunt Hurdle. Ridden by Harry Cobden, she took the lead approaching the final flight and won by two and a half lengths. From an Over-60s Disco and a jazz evening, to LEGO sessions and a breakfast club, Devon libraries are the place to be for fun and friends this winter.

A new season of events has been unveiled by Libraries Unlimited, the charity commissioned to run the libraries in Devon and Torbay. The programme will run from December 2025 until March 2026 with the emphasis on creativity and community.

Under the theme of ‘A Better Tomorrow’ , the events range from workshops to concerts, exhibitions to discos, all within the library buildings which are key hubs in Devon communities....

After receiving strong backing from local residents, a new Neighbourhood Plan for Bishops Clyst has been formally adopted by East Devon District Council.

Over 80% of referendum voters supported the Bishops Clyst Neighbourhood Plan , which replaces the 2017 version for the area. Now part of the area’s development plan, the framework will work with the East Devon Local Plan to determine planning applications in the Bishops Clyst Neighbourhood Area, covering the parishes of Clyst St Mary and Sowton.

Campaign to address barriers preventing Exeter residents getting cancer symptoms checked

People in Exeter concerned that they have cancer symptoms are being urged to seek information and support while they shop.

This comes as Tesco and Cancer Research UK are working together to raise awareness in Exeter of possible symptoms of cancer, break down barriers people may face to speaking to healthcare professionals, and help customers feel more confident when communicating with their doctor.
