Libraries help neurodiverse families explore Devon's outdoors

Libraries Unlimited, the charity commissioned to run the libraries in Devon and Torbay, has launched a new leaflet and set of resources to help children, young people and families with neurodiverse conditions explore some of Devon’s more accessible outdoor spaces.

The Outdoor Explorer Club features five trails across the county, each with a short story, an audio recording, and clear accessibility information. Braille copies of the leaflet are available by request, and printed copies can be collected from selected Devon and Torbay libraries.

The hard work of two Sandy Park volunteers at the Women’s Rugby World Cup was celebrated in front of a record Twickenham crowd at the recent World Cup Final match between England and Canada.

Tobit Emmens and Colin Searle were volunteers at the Exeter venue. They were at Twickenham as the invited guests of Allwyn, the operator of The National Lottery. They were the sponsor of the Official Volunteer Programme at the tournament and wanted to highlight the essential role that volunteers played in making the Rugby World Cup a success.

Band successful summer season

East Devon DayTime Band enjoyed a successful 2025 summer season.

The band performed at 10 venues throughout East Devon and Exeter, from a churchyard to a vineyard, including local Care Homes, VE Day commemorations, retirement homes, parish church fetes, Otterton Mill and Ikea Exeter.
