Members of Exeter Labour Party took to the streets this past Saturday, following a rallying call to defend education from their recently re-elected leader, Jeremy Corbyn. Leading local advice charity, Citizens Advice Exeter, has published its advice trend statistics for the first five-months of the financial year. The charity has helped 12% more people with their advice and information when compared to the same period in 2015.

The advice trends over the period were as follows:

Debt

Overall, the charity dealt with 14% more debt enquiries. The main increases being:

• 49.0% about bankruptcy and debt relief orders • 27.8% about water arrears • 25.7% about council tax arrears

Following the success of its explosive Science Cabaret production “Dark Matters”, the science focused theatre company Foot-candle Productions - supported by Daisi[1] and Queen Elizabeth’s (QE) Academy - is putting the spotlight on one of science’s unsung feminine heroes, the ground breaking Austrian atomic Physicist Lise Meitner, whose work changed the world.
